Rio Rancho Fire Department Fire Station #7

This project was new construction. Due to the project being federally funded, the project had to be completed on time.  After the start of the project, it was discovered that the project was designed with three-phase power; however, in order to get 3-phased power to the site, the power was have to be brought from ¾ miles away. The project site was located in a residential area, where only single phased power existed. It would have been very costly to bring in the three-phased power. It was determined that the driving factor for the three-phase requirement was the HVAC system. Weil Construction worked with the Architect and City to change the HVAC system to a single-phase system, thus saving the City substantial cost. Additionally Weil Construction was able to maintain the construction schedule with no impact to the final completion date.
